New to Grow
I'm Liz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has vast experience working with individuals throughout the lifespan. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating the lasting impact of trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Many clients I work with are used to holding it all together. You may be successful, responsible, and the one others rely on. However, underneath, you may feel anxious, depressed, exhausted, or like you’re constantly pushing through. You may notice patterns of overthinking, struggling to slow down, struggling to cope, or feeling disconnected from your emotions or sense of self. Often, these patterns are rooted in past experiences that your mind and body learned to adapt to in order to keep you going. Trauma is not just something that happened in the past; it can live in the body, shape how you relate to yourself and others, and influence how safe the world feels. I approach therapy through a relational, trauma-informed lens. Together, we will begin to gently untangle patterns, process past experiences, provide coping and resources to help you reconnect with yourself in a way that feels more grounded, authentic, and sustainable.
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss your goals, explore what support might look like for you, and begin identifying ways we can work together moving forward. Whether you are beginning therapy for the first time or returning to deepen your work, I stive to meet you where you are at. Together, we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
I want to acknowledge you are taking the biggest step in your journey by reaching out to consider who would be a good fit for you. I believe healing happens not just through techniques, but through the experience of a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship.

EMDR
As a trauma-based therapist, I am certified utilizing EMDR and incorporate parts work (IFS) which assists the client to prepare for trauma processing work. It is vital that there is a solid foundation trust and resourcing (skills work) prior to any trauma processing. EMDR can help your brain process experiences that feel "stuck", so they no longer have the same emotional charge. This can allow healing to occur through bilateral stimulation and the brain adaptive information processing; which helps lead to a reduction or elimination of symptoms.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Using DBT provides a clear, structured way to assist clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, or unsure how to cope effectively in the moment.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is woven in as it helps identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; how they are interconnected. Identifying negative thinking patterns can lead to behavioral change through skill building.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
SFT focuses on identifying and building on strengths to foster positive change and goals.
