New to Grow
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. 😀 My name is Trisha Williams, and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State with Core Therapy Solutions. I have a deep passion for helping individuals build emotional resilience, improve relationships, and live more meaningful, connected lives. I hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology and I have completed additional training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MCBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These modalities provide clients with practical, actionable skills to better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions, reduce anxiety, and improve communication in both personal and relational settings.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any challenges you’ve been facing. At the same time, I’ll explain how I work so you’ll know what to expect moving forward. From the very beginning, we’ll start identifying what matters most to you and set clear, realistic goals for therapy. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice and change unhelpful thought patterns, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to build on your strengths and focus on what’s already working, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to guide you in creating a more meaningful and values-driven life.
I combine evidence-based methods with a practical, compassionate style that helps clients feel supported while making real, lasting changes. Clients appreciate that my approach is both direct and empathetic — focused on uncovering what matters most, addressing barriers, and empowering them with tools to navigate challenges. The result is not just symptom relief, but deeper clarity, resilience, and confidence to handle life’s complexities.
I work best with individuals who are motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives, even if they feel stuck or uncertain about where to start. I work best with individuals who are motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives, even if they feel stuck or uncertain about where to start. By combining CBT to shift unhelpful thinking patterns, SFBT to highlight and expand on your strengths, and ACT to help you align your choices with your core values, I help clients move forward with clarity, confidence, and resilience.
I'll provide guidance to clients toward accepting what’s out of their control while taking meaningful action aligned with their core values. We focus less on eliminating uncomfortable thoughts and more on changing your relationship to those thoughts so they have less power over your decisions.
I'll help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence mood and behavior. We work together to shift rigid or distorted thinking and replace it with more balanced, realistic beliefs. CBT also involves behavioral sstrategis to reinforce positive changes and reduce avoidance.
The emphasis is placed on what’s working and building on your strengths and successes to generate momentum toward your goals. Instead of staying stuck in the problem, I help you identify your preferred future, track small wins, and amplify progress through focused, hopeful dialogue.
