About me

As a therapist, I have had the great privilege of partnering with countless individuals as they walk their healing journey. This has led me to practice in all levels of care from outpatient community practices to psychiatric crisis stabilization hospitals. In each of these settings I have been able to see the beauty and diversity of the resiliency that each person possesses, but sometimes loses sight of due to the hardships of life. My job is to help you disrupt unhealthy patterns, develop greater insight, and strengthen the unique skills you already possess to facilitate change and reclaim resiliency. These skills will open up your perspective, allow you to find purpose in your pain, and eventually allow you to reframe and reclaim your life story.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where you feel safe and heard. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you’re hoping to achieve. I’ll also share a little about how I work, answer any questions you have, and discuss confidentiality and logistics so you know what to expect. Together, we’ll begin to identify your goals and priorities and outline a plan for how we might approach them in future sessions. There’s no pressure to ‘have it all figured out’ — the first session is really about getting to know each other, building trust, and setting a foundation for a collaborative, supportive relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to combine evidence-based approaches with a warm, collaborative style that honors each client’s unique story. I draw from multiple therapeutic models (such as ACT, DBT, and CBT) in a way that is flexible and practical, allowing me to tailor interventions to what will be most effective for you. I also bring a deep respect for diversity and a commitment to creating a non-judgmental, affirming space where clients feel safe to explore even the most difficult issues. By blending empathy, creativity, and skill-building, I help clients disrupt unhelpful patterns, deepen their insight, and reclaim their resilience so they can move toward meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are navigating life’s challenges, transitions, or identity questions and are ready to take an active role in their healing. They may feel stuck in unhelpful patterns, overwhelmed by stress, or disconnected from their sense of self, and are looking for support in regaining balance and resilience. I am especially well-positioned to serve people who value a collaborative, non-judgmental space where their voice is heard and their unique experiences are respected. This includes members of the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent individuals, marginalized populations, children and families, and anyone seeking to align their lives more closely with their values. Together, we work to deepen insight, build skills, and rediscover the strengths that allow them to create meaningful and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have extensive experience integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into my clinical work with individuals and couples. I find ACT especially powerful because it helps clients move away from struggling with their inner experiences and instead focus on living a life guided by their values. In my practice, I use ACT to support clients in clarifying their core values and identifying concrete steps they can take to align their daily actions with those values. I also frequently incorporate ACT’s use of metaphors and experiential exercises to make abstract concepts more tangible.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thinking patterns, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I use CBT to collaboratively explore how a client’s thoughts influence their feelings and actions, and to teach practical skills for managing distress, improving coping, and fostering healthier perspectives.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have a strong foundation in Person-Centered (Rogerian) therapy and consistently integrate its principles into my work. This approach emphasizes creating a nonjudgmental, empathic, and accepting environment where clients feel truly heard and understood. In my practice, I focus on building a genuine therapeutic relationship, offering unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence to support clients’ self-exploration and growth. By providing a safe and supportive space, clients can access their own inner resources and develop greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and clarity about their goals and values.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and increasing distress tolerance. I focus on creating a validating and supportive environment while also encouraging clients to make practical, skill-based changes in their daily lives. By combining acceptance and change strategies, DBT helps clients develop greater emotional stability, resilience, and self-compassion over time.

Eclectic

Ultimately, I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based methods to best meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong foundation in multiple therapeutic modalities—including cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, mindfulness-based, and relational approaches—and integrate them flexibly depending on what is most helpful for the individual. This approach allows me to tailor interventions and techniques in real time, ensuring that therapy remains collaborative, responsive, and aligned with the client’s values and strengths
