I am a former history and English teacher who has a passion for helping people learn more about their mental health. I have worked in a variety of settings including wilderness therapy, community mental health, and private practice. I have a passion for traveling, exploring in the mountains, hanging out with my wife and dog, and having meaningful conversation over a cup of coffee.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session I will take the time to get to know you and try to understand what you are struggling with. I will help you create your goals for our time together and set a timeline to achieve these goals. My approach is goal-oriented, relationship-centered, and education-focused.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My clients tell me that they trust me and appreciate my inquisitive nature. I have been told that it is helpful to have learned the tools to work with emotions as they arise and communicate their needs to others. My goal in therapy is to get you to the place where you can stand confident on your own with a story of strength to lean on.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with anyone who has a desire to better understand their own mental health and how to increase their well-being. I primarily work with adolescents and young adults who are having difficulty navigating life transitions and relationship issues, but also work with adults having similar issues. Clients I see are typically struggling with symptoms of anxiety, stress, and self-esteem which could be the result of trauma.
