Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I work to develop a collaborative and trusting alliance with you. My goal is to help you feel empowered and ready to make changes. Together, we’ll explore strategies to manage stress, set boundaries, and build resilience — so you can continue to care for others without losing yourself in the process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Years of providing compassionate therapy have enabled me to provide insightful, meaningful support. Life’s too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Let me help you develop ways to address issues and increase your peace and contentment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve someone who is navigating self-doubt, yet open to growth and change. This individual may be someone who recognizes a need for healthier, more effective coping strategies and is willing to explore new ways of thinking, feeling and responding to challenges. While they may feel stuck or overwhelmed at times, they bring a desire to build resilience, gain clarity and move forward with greater confidence and stability.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I will guide you in recognizing how unhelpful or negative thought patterns are negatively affecting your life and relationships. These patterns can make us feel stuck and lead to struggles with anxiety and depression. Using CBT, along with my guidance, will enable you to gain a better understanding of your emotions, behaviors and motivations.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am a DBT certified therapist. DBT focuses on developing skills to manage emotions and improve interpersonal relationships. DBT is helpful because it combines emotional acceptance and change strategies in a practical, structured way.

Shannon listens carefully and pinpoints areas where I may not be aware of what I'm struggling with or how I'm interpreting situations/other's behavior. She's honest and straightforward.
