(he/him)
I am welcoming new clients! I do want to thank you for stopping by; you have just taken an amazing step in the process of seeking therapy and that is truly to be commended. I am excited that you want to help improve your overall well-being. My goal is to help guide you in discovering your own excellent journey of healing. I will offer to you a safe, warm, and welcoming environment that will enable you to freely communicate and express all of your thoughts, concerns, and feelings without any judgment or assumptions from me.
On the first session with me, we will discuss confidentiality and informed consent agreements to make sure that your cares and information is protected and safe guarded. I would then give a brief introduction of myself, and then to try to calm any anxieties that you might bring into therapy in general. We would then discuss whatever topics of issues/concerns of why you are seeking therapy and to discuss the process of how we look to resolve and work together over future sessions to get you where you want to be.
My therapeutic approach may come across realist and an optimist, because I do not attempt to resign in pity parties, whatever you are going through, the goal would be designed around what the client wants, learning coping skills, and different strategies to achieve the new self you desire to be. As discussed earlier I like a variety of different methods to aide in counseling depending on each client and their needs. Solution focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, attachment based, structural family therapy, and Gottman couples therapy are a few that I have worked with my 8 years of therapy.
My specialty is working with couples, both dating and married. I am a certified marriage and family therapist, so that incorporates all individuals and everyone in the family of those individuals. I love working with clients who want to do the work to better themselves and not just to dwell in pity parties. I tend to cater everything towards the clients and their goals for their benefit, because they are the focus; it's not about me.

Gottman method
I use a few different methods depending on the needs of the individual or couple, but the Gottman method modified and emotionally focused therapies are used often dealing with clients and their attachment styles and the programming that we have all had in our lives in the past. I have been working with these therapies for over 7 years.
