Hello, i am a bilingual clinical psychologist originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, currently licensed in the state of New Jersey. I have 15 years of experience helping my clients in the understanding of their emotions and personal circumstances, to along side of them work on becoming improved versions of themselves. I have vast experience working with clients that have experienced complex trauma.
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions and an explanation of the therapeutic process. Afterwards, dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
As a clinician i believe that therapy is a collaborative process between the client and the therapist. My role is to work with my client by providing them with a safe an accepting space where they can reach their personal therapeutic goals.
My education, training and multifaceted experiences in the field of clinical psychology have provided me with a solid background to provide support to my clients in their therapeutic journey.
Through the use of (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy the client will learn how thoughts, emotions and behaviors interact and impact one another. By engaging actively with the client in their process of changing their thoughts, and a result impacting their emotions and behaviors. The process involves focusing on the irrational or maladaptive thoughts, behaviors and mood can be improved.
