Hi, I'm Ashley. I believe that somewhere underneath the anxiety, the self-doubt, and the patterns that keep repeating, there is a version of you that already knows the way. My job isn't to fix you or direct you. It's to create a space steady enough that you can actually hear yourself. Together we get curious about the thoughts that won't quiet down, the emotions that feel bigger than the moment, the behaviors that keep showing up even when you don't want them to, and what all of it is actually trying to tell you. I bring tools into our work that help you understand what's happening in your mind and body when you're overwhelmed, so you can actually do something about it instead of just surviving it. But more than any method or modality, I show up as a real person walking alongside you, not as the expert on your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The moment you book your first session is when it begins. Showing up is a powerful step and that deserves to be recognized. We'll start with a few minutes covering the practical stuff, policies, confidentiality, and how we'll work together, so you feel informed and settled. Then I pass the mic to you. We'll talk about what brought you here, what you're hoping will shift, and what your life actually looks like right now. I'll ask about the things that matter, your relationships, your history, what grounds you, what drains you. The most important thing about our first session is simple. Do you feel like I get you? Towards the end I'll check in with you genuinely, because sometimes it takes meeting a few people before you find the one that feels right, and that is a completely normal part of this process. If something about my approach doesn't feel aligned with your goals, please let me know. My intention is always to make sure you get the support that is right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my passion for helping adults understand themselves in ways they never have before. When something clicks for you in session, when you catch yourself in a pattern or say something out loud for the first time and realize it isn't actually true, I get genuinely excited. Because watching someone see themselves clearly for the first time is what I live for. Together we get curious about the stories and beliefs you've been living inside, sometimes for decades, and we gently dissolve the walls those old stories built. We look at the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that have been running the show and ask what they've been trying to protect. We figure out where you've been limiting yourself, where you've built a ceiling without knowing it, and what it might look like to remove it. This work is about coming home to yourself, to the version of you that was always there underneath everything you were taught to believe.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You are someone who is ready to be honest with yourself, or at least open enough to try. Maybe you already have awareness of your patterns but you're not sure what to do next. Maybe you've been doing everything you know how to do and something still isn't shifting. That's not a failure. That's information. And that's exactly where we start. My ideal client is someone who is willing to get genuinely curious about their inner world, their thoughts, their emotions, their behaviors, and the stories they've been carrying. Someone who is open to doing the work between sessions, whether that looks like moving their body, connecting with something greater than themselves, or simply meeting themselves with a little more gentleness and compassion than the day before. If you are open minded, spiritually curious, or drawn to the idea that healing happens on more than just a mental level, you will feel at home here. You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing. If there is any part of you that is ready for something different, we can start there. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

The ways you learned to cope, to protect yourself, to survive, made complete sense given what you went through. They were adaptations, and they deserve to be understood that way. In our work together we honor that, while also gently exploring what your nervous system is still carrying and what it might be ready to release. I follow your pace and your readiness. Your sense of safety is the foundation of everything we do here. Over time you build the capacity to recognize when the past is speaking louder than the present, and to come back to yourself, to here, to now.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is built on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. What we think shapes how we feel, and how we feel shapes what we do. Together we slow down and look at the beliefs running beneath the surface, the ones that have quietly been shaping your experience. We examine the thoughts that might be distorted or outdated, question whether they are actually true, and actively work to shift them so your thinking starts to reflect who you are becoming.

Compassion Focused

Compassion Focused Therapy was developed specifically for people who struggle with high levels of shame and self criticism, and who find it difficult to feel warmth toward themselves even when they want to. It is rooted in the understanding that many of our harshest inner voices developed as a response to pain, not as a reflection of truth. Together we work on understanding where that inner critic came from, what it has been trying to protect, and how to gradually shift toward a relationship with yourself that feels more like kindness and less like judgment. Real and lasting change grows from that place.

Psychoeducation

When things finally make sense, everything shifts. I bring education into our sessions about how your nervous system, stress responses, and the connection between your brain and body shape your everyday experience. When you understand why your nervous system responds the way it does, why certain situations trigger old reactions, why patterns keep showing up even when you want them to, you start to see yourself differently. Knowledge is empowering, and understanding yourself is the first step toward changing your relationship with yourself.

Somatic

Your body keeps score and it also holds wisdom. We pay attention to what shows up physically, tension, tightness, the urge to shut down or run, and we use that information as a doorway into deeper understanding. Breathwork and body awareness become tools you can actually use in your daily life. Over time this work expands what you can hold, so when something hard shows up you can name it, move through it, and stay present with it instead of being swept away by it.
