In our first session together, we’ll spend most of the time talking about how you’ve been feeling recently. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences and what may be contributing to the way you’re feeling. This session is focused on building trust and establishing a strong therapeutic relationship, while we also begin identifying your goals for therapy. Every person is unique, so I take time to listen first rather than assuming what will work best for you. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your needs and supports your journey toward growth and healing.
What makes my therapeutic approach unique is the balance between structure and compassion. I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which provide practical tools to help clients shift unhelpful thought patterns, manage emotions, and create healthier behaviors. At the same time, I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where each person feels heard, valued, and understood. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — instead, I take the time to truly listen and tailor therapy to your individual needs. Clients often share that they leave sessions not only feeling supported but also with concrete strategies they can immediately use in their daily lives. My goal is to help you not just cope, but to grow, thrive, and discover your new purpose in life.
My ideal clients are children, teens, adults, couples, and families who are ready to work through challenges like depression, anxiety, life transitions, women’s issues, or relationship conflicts. They are open to growth, motivated to make positive changes, and looking for support in building healthier thoughts, behaviors, and connections.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we work on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, building coping skills, and making practical changes that support healthier emotional and behavioral responses. My goal is to provide clients with tools they can use in everyday life to manage challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage intense emotions, build healthier coping skills, and improve relationships. In sessions, I teach practical skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. My approach focuses on creating balance—accepting where clients are while supporting them in making positive changes.
I use Reality Therapy to help clients focus on what they can control in the present and make choices that bring them closer to their goals. This approach emphasizes personal responsibility, problem-solving, and building stronger connections with others. I guide clients in identifying their wants and needs, examining whether their current behaviors are helping them meet those needs, and exploring healthier alternatives that support growth and well-being.
