Howdy! I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and register art therapist (ATR) in Virginia and Texas. I am also a licensed creative art therapist (LCAT) in New York. I offer online traditional talk therapy as well as expressive art therapy. I'll invite you to make art, talk about the process, and explore all the thoughts and feelings that bubble up. I also offer EMDR, a technique that helps disarm negative thoughts and get you unstuck. I'll create a blended approach that works best for you.
A typical session with me includes talking, cursing, crying, laughing, questioning, and a whole lot of compassion. We will get to know each other, and I will help craft a treatment plan custom to you.
I can be your biggest cheerleader while also being your most supportive coach. I can help validate your feelings, help you make connections, and challenge you to grow.
If you experience overwhelming anxiety loops, feel the weight of grief, or are impacted by trauma - I might be a good fit for you. I can help by pointing out patterns or themes that I notice, explore how and why the brain is wired the way it is, and help you build up armor to face whatever life throws at you.
Trained in attachment theory and love to share how to regulate, connect, and identify where our attachment styles come from (and what to do with them to feel more secure!)
Training in EMDR. Helps with desensitizing traumatic memories and negative beliefs. Work towards reprocessing trauma.
Have years of experience working with grief and loss. Will help process, heal, and integrate loss.
Trained and mindful of trauma-informed practices. Will be tender and sensitive to how the brain and nerve system works while healing trauma.
