New to Grow
I’m a trauma-informed Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the founder of Profound Minds Psychological Services, LLC. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns they cannot seem to break, or disconnected from themselves or others. My path to becoming a counselor has been deeply shaped by my own life experiences and personal healing journey. I have come to believe that healing is not something we are meant to do alone. It is something that happens in safe, supportive relationships. That belief is at the heart of how I show up in this work. I strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and not alone in what you are carrying. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more confident in your ability to move forward. Therapy with me is not just about getting through the hard moments. It is about helping you build insight, develop healthier patterns, and create lasting, meaningful change in your life.
Starting therapy can feel like a big and sometimes intimidating step, so I aim to make the first session feel as comfortable and welcoming as possible. We will move at a pace that feels right for you. I will ask questions to better understand what has been going on in your life, what challenges you are facing, and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. This is a space where you can show up as you are. My focus is on helping you feel heard, respected, and safe enough to begin opening up. By the end of the session, we will start to identify what feels most important to focus on and talk about how we can work together moving forward in a way that feels supportive and manageable.
Clients often describe me as warm, supportive, and heartfelt, while also being clear and intentional in helping them move toward meaningful change. I bring both compassion and clinical expertise into the therapy space, which helps clients feel safe while also making real progress. My approach is individualized and grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based practices that support long-term healing and growth. Many clients notice relief and progress early in our work together, sometimes within the first session or within a couple of weeks. Clients frequently share that they feel more clarity, emotional relief, and a renewed sense of hope as we begin our work. I have a strong track record of helping clients reach a place of stability, increased confidence, and improved functioning. Many are able to move into maintenance-level care and eventually “graduate” from therapy with lasting tools and confidence. What makes this work meaningful to me is not just helping clients reduce symptoms, but helping them reconnect with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move forward with greater resilience and self-trust.
I am best positioned to serve individuals, couples, and families who are navigating the effects of trauma, relational distress, and complex life stressors and are ready to engage in meaningful, deeper therapeutic work. My ideal clients are those who may feel stuck in recurring emotional or relational patterns and are seeking to better understand themselves at both a psychological and neurobiological level. I work especially well with clients experiencing trauma-related concerns, anxiety, mood disorders, attachment wounds, and challenges with emotional regulation or interpersonal relationships. Many of my clients are motivated for growth, even if they feel overwhelmed, and are open to a structured, insight-oriented, and evidence-based approach to healing. My ideal clients value a therapy process that is both compassionate and clinically grounded. They are seeking more than short-term symptom relief—they want lasting change, improved self-awareness, healthier relationships, and a greater sense of internal stability and purpose. I also support couples who are committed to strengthening their relationship, improving communication, and rebuilding trust after disconnection or conflict. Ultimately, I work best with clients who are ready to invest in their healing, explore their experiences with curiosity and courage, and move toward long-term resilience and meaningful life change.

Christian Counseling
I integrate Christian counseling for clients who wish to include their faith as part of the healing process. My approach respects each client’s spiritual beliefs while exploring how faith, identity, and meaning intersect with emotional and relational well-being. When appropriate, we incorporate biblical principles, values, and spiritual reflection to support resilience, healing, and growth in alignment with your personal beliefs.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an evidence-based approach to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop practical strategies to shift them in ways that improve emotional regulation and daily functioning. CBT is integrated within a broader, trauma-informed framework to ensure interventions are both effective and responsive to your unique experiences.
Couples Counseling
In couples counseling, I work with partners to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and address patterns that contribute to relational distress. My approach is grounded in attachment and trauma-informed principles, helping each partner better understand their emotional needs, responses, and relational dynamics. Together, we focus on restoring connection, improving conflict resolution, and fostering a healthier, more secure partnership.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to support clients in working through trauma-related beliefs and experiences. This structured, evidence-based approach helps identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts connected to traumatic events, allowing for more balanced and adaptive perspectives. CPT is delivered with sensitivity to each client’s readiness, ensuring that trauma processing occurs in a safe, supportive, and clinically appropriate manner.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma-informed care is the foundation of my clinical practice. I approach all treatment with an understanding of how trauma impacts the brain, body, and relationships, prioritizing safety, trust, and empowerment. Interventions are tailored to your individual history and needs, focusing on stabilization, emotional regulation, and gradual processing to support long-term healing and resilience.
