Hello, my name is Devin Jones and I’m a licensed clinical social worker specializing in individual psychotherapy. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been carrying anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or questions about identity, trauma, or direction in life. I work with teens and adults to better understand these experiences while also building practical skills to feel more grounded and in control. My approach blends structured, evidence-based work like CBT and ERP with a more relational, collaborative style. That means we’ll not only explore patterns and past experiences, but also actively practice new ways of responding in the present. In our sessions, you’ll find a space where you can show up as you are—without needing to filter or perform. My goal is to create an environment that feels supportive, affirming, and grounded, while helping you move toward meaningful, lasting change.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You can expect sessions with me to feel collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in authenticity. I’m not a distant note-taker, but I’m also not going to talk over your experience. I take the time to really understand what life feels like from your perspective. We’ll explore patterns with curiosity, and I’ll check in regularly to make sure the direction of therapy feels right for you. I bring a calm presence, and when it fits, a bit of humor to help make things feel more approachable. I also focus on helping you build insight that actually translates into your day-to-day life. That might mean learning practical tools, trying new ways of responding to thoughts and emotions, or gradually facing things that have felt stuck or overwhelming. My overall style is client-centered and flexible, drawing from approaches like CBT, ERP, and relational therapy depending on what fits you best.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What tends to stand out in my work is a balance of depth and approachability. I can sit with the harder or more complicated parts of your experience without flinching or rushing to fix them, while also helping you stay connected to your day-to-day life. I take your inner world seriously and move at a pace that feels right for you. I don’t assume I know what’s best. We work that out together. Clients often say they feel genuinely seen and understood, rather than analyzed from a distance. I aim to create a space where you can be honest, even about things you haven’t said out loud, and feel met with steadiness, curiosity, and care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I tend to work best with teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, or questions around identity, sexuality, and relationships. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns that are hard to break—whether that’s overthinking, avoidance, compulsive behaviors, or feeling disconnected from themselves, their body or others. You don’t need to have everything figured out. What matters more is a openness and curiosity about what’s going on and open to exploring other ways to understand, even if it feels uncomfortable at first. I use a mix of structured, evidence-based approaches like CBT and ERP alongside a more relational, collaborative style, so our work is both practical and meaningful. Clients who tend to get the most out of working with me are those who want more than just short-term relief—they want to better understand themselves, build lasting skills, and feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors over time. That might look like facing fears gradually, learning how to step back from intrusive thoughts, or exploring how past experiences and relationships are still shaping things now. I also have experience supporting men and women around sexual health, compulsive behaviors, and identity-related experiences, and aim to create a space where those topics can be talked about openly and without judgment. Above all, I try to create a space that feels supportive, direct, and grounded—where we can be honest about what’s hard while also working toward real, sustainable change. Feel free to reach out and ask questions of course!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ll help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and we’ll practice practical tools to shift patterns that aren’t helping you. This is a very broad treatment approach that can fit and be combined with other models depending on the person and situation.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I’ll support you in making sense of what you’ve been through, while helping you develop tools to reduce the emotional weight of those experiences.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

We’ll gradually face fears together in a safe, supported way, helping you resist compulsions and build confidence in handling anxiety. This method is most helpful for OCD and anxiety disorders but can be useful in other contexts as well.

Relational

We’ll explore how your relationships have shaped the way you see yourself and others, both in the therapeutic space and outside of it, while working together to build more secure, supportive connections in your life.
