My name is Joyel Searight and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I'm a Florida Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. I specialize in working with woman and young adults who struggle with low self-esteem, depression and life transitions. I am empathetic and a great listener. I will meet you where you are in this stage of your life. I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution focused therapy.
Clients during the first session can expect rapport building and me giving them the chance to share their Why for reaching out for therapy.
I am a great listener, advocator and down to earth and I have had life experiences in which I have been depressed and felt low and have come out on the other side.

I have been utilizing CBT my entire career. I assist clients with how their thoughts feelings and actions are all interconnected.
I have worked with many different cultures and I am sensitive to the issues they face in society as well as at times with in their own culture.

I have been working with trauma clients since I began in the field of social services. I process with them about how the past trauma has hinder their movement forward and as kept them stuck.
