Hello there! I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with twelve years of experience. I completed my Master's from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York. Recently, I relocated to North Carolina, and I am honored to help adults of all ages who are facing various challenges with anxiety, depression, addiction and individuals and couples who are struggling in their relationships.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first counseling session, we will take some time to get to know one another in a supportive, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment. I will answer any questions you may have and ask you about your history and experiences. We will explore why you have decided to seek counseling and what you hope to achieve through this process. We will address your immediate concerns and discuss your long-term goals for the future. Together, we will create a realistic and achievable plan with measurable goals to help you achieve your desired outcomes. I will outline some potential strategies and techniques we may use to help you on your journey of self-discovery and change. Building trust and creating a comfortable atmosphere will be a top priority during this session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe my greatest ability lies in assisting individuals to recognize their full potential by exploring their exceptional strengths and resilience. With my guidance, you can identify ways to achieve your goals and make positive changes that enable you to live your best life while experiencing joy and peace. Together, we can work towards reducing worries, conflicts, and anxiety-producing situations, making your life less stressful and more enjoyable, with fewer worries, conflicts, and stressful anxiety-producing situations.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

As a counselor, I have had the opportunity to work with clients who experience a range of psychological and emotional concerns. My clientele typically includes individuals and couples who are challenged by anxiety, depression, loneliness, grief, addiction, and difficulties in their relationships. My experience provided me with the skills and knowledge necessary to offer tailored counseling sessions uniquely suited to my clients' needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy emphasizes the connection between thoughts and behavior. I help my clients identify and challenge defeatists and negative thought patterns that hinder personal growth and change. Together, we work collaboratively to develop a plan to replace these patterns with more positive ones, leading to significant improvements in both behavior and emotional well-being.

Couples Counseling

Do you feel dissatisfied and unhappy in your relationship? If so, couples counseling may be the solution you've been looking for. It's a proven and effective method for improving one's relationship and ensuring both partners are happy and fulfilled. With couples counseling, one can enhance one's communication skills, strengthen one's bond, build trust, and improve intimacy. Additionally, it can help you manage difficulties such as anger, resentment, co-parenting differences, addiction issues, infidelity, and trust. If relationship problems continue to weigh you down, couples counseling can significantly improve partnership bonds.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness practices help promote a heightened sense of internal awareness. The practice involves focusing on thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgment. Clients can understand their emotions and reactions throughout the therapeutic process more clearly and acceptably. This fosters a more authentic way of living based on one's values in the present moment, even when challenging thoughts or emotions arise.

Motivational Interviewing

The objective is to assist clients in identifying their priorities, addressing any ambivalence and fears, and fostering growth and progress by recognizing and cultivating their desires for personal change.
