As a therapist, I am rewarded by helping people realize their full potential. As part of that process, I take the time to develop a solid connection with my clients to ensure optimal understanding of their concerns and goals, and collaboratively develop a treatment plan that works for them. I am trained in several evidence-based therapies and utilize them to help my clients achieve their goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, I introduce myself to clients and this includes information about my experience and training. I do this so that clients have information about the person to whom they are entrusting their care. I also gather information from clients surrounding the issues that bring them to seek therapy and information about their entire world - their ecosystem - all aspects of a person's life shape them and are important to treatment. Lastly, I ask clients about their therapy goals or desired outcomes for therapy and explain to them how we might achieve these.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I provide my clients a place where they will receive empathy and positive regard. This helps me build a solid therapeutic relationship with my clients. This is so important because attending therapy can be scary. By taking the time to develop a solid relationship, clients feel supported in their efforts to address the issues that brough them to therapy and as a result, reach their full potential.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I come from a military-affiliated background, having several family members who served. I have a wealth of experience treating military service members, veterans, and military family members. I have a thorough understanding of military culture, and the challenges (and benefits) associated with living a military life. I work with persons diagnosed with a wide array of mental health disorders. In addition to this, I have worked with numerous civilian clients without military affiliation.
