LMFT, 8 years of experience
My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I draw from a variety of therapeutic styles and tools, allowing us to tailor a unique path together based on your individual needs. I strive to be clear, honest, and genuine as we explore your experience. I am trained in a range of modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), the Rest and Restore Protocol, the Safe and Sound Protocol, Polyvagal Theory, and somatic therapy approaches in a way that feels safe and comfortable for you.
During our initial session, my focus is on getting to know you and understanding your story, struggles, and goals. I believe in building a trust-based relationship and moving at a pace that feels right for you. By the end of our session, we'll work together to develop tools and strategies to support you in achieving your goals. I will leave time to answer any questions you may have for me.
My passion lies in supporting people through their healing and growth. I understand that entering therapy can feel vulnerable—and I honor the courage it takes. Within that vulnerability lies the strength to move toward meaningful and lasting change.
In our work together, I offer deep listening and gentle support, always respecting the personal beliefs and values you bring to the process. I aim to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Somatic therapy is rooted in somatic psychology, a body-oriented approach to psychology. Somatic therapies work by addressing the feedback loop that continually runs between the mind and the body.
I have used EMDR for several months and use it in a safe comfortable space for clients.
I have been using the principles of polyvagal theory for two years to support clients in understanding their nervous system to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
