I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kentucky, Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio, and West Virginia, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Kentucky. I provide telehealth services in all the above states, plus West Virginia. My experience is in autism, multiple disabilities, and miscarriage or stillbirth within the family system. My passion is in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate complex medical situations, including new diagnoses of physical and/or mental health concerns. I am in the process of completing my PhD in social work, where I study health disparities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will get to know each other and decide if we're a good fit. We'll talk about your goals and objectives, focusing on your priorities. I will send you a simple intake form before our first session, and it helps me if you have it completed so that I know a little about you before we start. I will ask you a lot of questions about your goals and objectives, and I hope you feel free to ask me questions, too!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I've worked with neurodiverse people and their families for the past twelve years. Prior to that, I worked with people who had experienced trauma from intimate partner violence, political upheaval, and abuse from family members. I am compassionate and collaborative, and keep my clients' strengths at the center. I use humor and storytelling to help people access the stories they've told themselves that keep them stuck in their problems.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am committed to helping individuals, couples, and families process through life's challenges. Whether you have recently experienced grief, have a new diagnosis, or are facing a life transition, I am excited to work with you to create a life worth living. I offer individual mental health therapy, miscarriage/stillbirth support for couples, and therapy services for newly-diagnosed neurodivergent people (autism, ADHD, etc.).

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I find CPT to be very helpful for processing trauma. Combined with EMDR and feminist therapy, I have found that clients are able to make peace with their trauma.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

Who doesn’t need more skills to deal with life’s stressors? I’ve been integrating DBT with clients for five years, and find that it helps address behaviors and thoughts that have been learned from dealing with trauma.

Grief Therapy

I have specialized training as a loss doula, and am particularly focused on people who have experienced perinatal loss (miscarriage and/or stillbirth).
