LCSW, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma-related disorders, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to assist my clients in making progress and feeling better. My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I used evidence-based modalities to assist clients in learning how to cope with difficulties and challenges in their lives.
You can expect the first session with me to be spent talking about how you have been feeling lately, what your stressors are, and identifying your strengths. I will be asking questions to better understand what your life is like. I will provide a place for you to talk about how your life may be different from before and what changes you would like to see.
Together, we will identify and set goals that are important to you and your well-being. Whether it be improving relationships, improving self-esteem, coping with challenges, or processing trauma. We can review and adapt our plan any time during our sessions together. I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and heard throughout the therapeutic relationship.
I have experience working with adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance abuse, and self-esteem struggles. I work with my clients to navigate difficult transition periods and to build skills to allow them to feel better and develop a toolbox of skills.
I have been utilizing DBT module to assist clients in managing difficult emotions and practicing mindful awareness.
I have been formally trained and using CBT in my practice to assist clients in acknowledging how their thoughts and behaviors impact their emotions and guiding them in making changes.
I utilize CPT when working on processing trauma to identify unhelpful belief developed after a traumatic event.
