I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed psychologist providing individual, couples, and family counseling. I am licensed in Texas and have over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I work with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship and parenting challenges, and stress management. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. In addition to treating mood and anxiety disorders, I’ve worked closely with individuals and families involved in the legal system and Child Protective Services, offering support through complex and high-stress circumstances. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and respectful. I believe in meeting each client with sensitivity and compassion — without judgment or stigmatizing labels. My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, narrative, and solution-focused techniques, and I tailor each treatment plan to meet your unique goals and needs. It takes courage to seek support and make meaningful changes. If you're ready to take that first step, I'm here to walk alongside you and help you build a more fulfilling and empowered life. I look forward to working with you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may be facing. We’ll also talk about your history and any previous experiences with counseling, if applicable. This session is a chance for you to share at your own pace — there’s no pressure to tell your whole story right away. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and respected. Together, we’ll start identifying what’s most important to you and how we can begin working toward meaningful change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the combination of warmth, cultural sensitivity, and practical, evidence-based interventions. I draw from cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, narrative, and solution-focused therapies to create a tailored experience that meets each client’s unique needs. I approach therapy as a collaborative process where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My bilingual (English/Spanish) background allows me to support a broader range of individuals and families. Clients often tell me they appreciate the balance I offer between compassion and clear structure. I focus on helping clients develop tools they can use outside of sessions, leading to meaningful, lasting changes in mood, relationships, and overall functioning.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support adults and families who are ready to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and find relief from emotional pain. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, past trauma, or ongoing stress and are looking for a safe, supportive space to explore what’s not working — and how to move forward. I work well with individuals who are motivated to make changes, even if they’re not sure where to start. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of your next step, I’ll meet you with compassion, clarity, and practical tools to help you feel more in control and aligned with your values.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I often use Solution Focused Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With SFT, goal setting begins early in the therapy process. We begin by exploring strengths and constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. SFT is a positive and future focused approach to change.
