I have been working with children, adolescents, adults and families for 25 years. I love helping people see their own potential in challenging times. I provide compassion, understanding and tools that help people reach the best version of themselves. I have both personal and professional experience that can guide anyone in the direction they want. I want you to feel heard and understood. Life can be difficult with situations that are out of your control, but I want to help you gain more control in your thinking and behavior choices.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First session we are going to get to know each other. I will ask questions about your current situation and also gain understanding of your history . I welcomed you to ask questions and interview me as I want you to feel comfortable working with me. It is important you feel comfortable with me and that there is transparency from the beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I go into every situation putting my best foot forward, but I may not always know everything and together we will explore and or I will refer you onto another colleague that best suits you. Its important that you feel the best service since counseling can be a vulnerable place for most. We will establish goals and discuss the plan on how to meet those goals. I want ongoing feedback if you need a specific approach or direction. Results are important when starting counseling so I like to continue an open dialogue along the way. I work from a Christian perspective, but that is not necessary to work with me. We can dial in as much spirituality or as little as you like in your treatment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I provide support and practical feedback to help people resolve current problems and longstanding patterns. I provide tools and resources throughout this journey. You are not alone. Its time you focus on you and your family. We sometimes get pressured in helping others and neglect ourselves. I work very well from school aged children (10years and older). I also can reach the most difficult teenagers and can help them understand YOU. I will strive to involve the family in the treatment as needed. Another speciality I have is with adults struggling with relationships and life transitions. I work with each person to help them build on their strengths and to identify and achieve their life goals. I keep you involved and excited for change! Remember you are your own expert and deserve to live a life full of happiness. I strive to help you find your balance in a Christian like setting.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I first identify areas that are to be addressed and set goals towards looking at behavior strategies that can be the most effective treatment. Most clients have great success when they can identify the problem areas and learn to change mindset and behavior with much support.
