Hi there, and welcome to Grow Therapy! I am so glad that you are here, and I can't wait to help you to unpack the challenges you are navigating! My name is Krysten Rohlik. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 16 years of clinical experience. I have worked with all ages, populations, and a wide variety of challenges. It is huge that you are here seeking support, and I hope that you find your time in therapy to be exactly what you had hoped it to be. I want this space to be a safe and comfortable one for you to share anything and everything that you desire! I have significant experience working with a wide range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, aging/loss of independence, relationship issues, job/career challenges, identity, self esteem, OCD, attachment, boundaries/assertiveness, communication and many other life stressors and challenges.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with my providing some information as far as what you can expect in working with me, and I will obtain some background information to better understand you, through some questions about your relationships and life. We will then dive into the specific challenges you're facing! This will help to create a plan for us to work through in our sessions together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with adults of all ages for the past 16 plus years and also having worked with such a wide range of ages and challenges, I feel well equipped to support my clients with whatever challenges they are enduring. My clients often say that I am easy to talk to and that they feel comfortable with me right out the gate. That is so important to me!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults of all ages who are navigating change, anxiety, self esteem challenges, and relationship challenges among other things. My clients are eager to make improvements and recognize that one gets out of therapy what they put into it, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their situation and challenges.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have used Solution Focused Therapy for several years now in my practice. Working on identifying solutions is so helpful for many individuals, to be able to feel that they are moving on the right path, and staying on that path!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT often, related to identifying distorted thoughts, challenging and changing thoughts, which will allow for a person to feel differently ultimately.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I do incorporate pieces of DBT into my practice, related to self soothing and emotional regulation.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I strongly believe in unconditional positive regard in working with clients; I feel that being present, highlighting strengths, and validation is extremely powerful.
