LCSW, 13 years of experience
Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker in Florida. I have been licensed since 2016. I graduated with my master's from Florida Atlantic University in 2012. I have worked with a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds. I have training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play therapy, Sand Tray, Brazelton Touchpoints, Perinatal Mental Health, and Art Therapy modalities and techniques. Some of the main concerns that my clients have had include depression, past traumas (including physical and emotional abuse), relationship difficulties with their partner, grief, anxiety, maternal mental health issues, medical trauma, parenting stressors, and help with managing life changes and stressors. I enjoy joining clients on their journey and helping them work towards getting to where they want to be. I know it can be hard to take that first step to reach out for help. I would be honored to be a part of helping you on your mental health journey!
During the first session we will complete a biopsychosocial assessment and a treatment plan. This means that I will ask you several questions to get to know more about you and the history of the symptoms you are experiencing then create some goals for what you would like to work on during our time together.
I like to believe that some of my biggest strengths as a clinician are meeting clients where they are at, validating their experiences, and empowering clients to reach their goals.
Adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting issues, women's issues, perinatal issues, or grief.
I use this approach to support people in working through past traumas. It can be especially helpful if you’re dealing with nightmares, flashbacks, or panic attacks connected to those experiences.
My initial training was in client-centered play therapy, where the focus is on reflecting and acknowledging your feelings. I believe that you are the expert in your own life and know what’s best for your future. My role is to support you in tuning into that inner voice and quieting the other distractions so you can focus on what matters most to you.
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Once these patterns are identified, I work with clients to replace negative thoughts with healthier, more positive ones.
