Hi, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I received a Master's in Mental Health Counseling and Certificate in Play Therapy from the University of Central Florida. I've been practicing for 12 years providing counseling services to children, teens, and adults. In addition to providing counseling services, I enjoy teaching on mental wellness topics at conferences and organizations.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session together will look different from the rest of our sessions. During this session, I will go over paperwork, assessments, and policies. Then we'll go over your concerns and create a plan together on how we'll reach your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have the ability to build a therapeutic rapport with clients and create a positive non-judgmental environment to process concerns and goals. My training in Play and Creative Therapies gives me a variety of tools to customize treatment for each of my clients unique needs.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy helping people who their worries keep them at a standstill from where they would like to be in life overcome their anxiety. My clients typically know they could be much farther in life in their relationships, career, and/or health if they had some support to help them identify their roadblocks and triggers. They are open to trusting the therapeutic process and trying new helpful ways to cope and manage their symptoms.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT with my clients to identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, explore feelings, and behaviors.

Psychoeducation

I like to teach clients about their diagnosis and any concepts or skills introduced to them. This is where I find that my clients start to have their "aha" moments to know there's an explanation for their experiences. And helping them achieve mastery of skills to better manage their symptoms.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

With Solution Focused Brief Therapy, I help clients recognize their strengths and build on them to help make positive behavioral changes. I help them identify the steps to reach the solutions that best work for them.
