Hi. I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of New York. As a therapist I bring my genuine self to every session. I have been told that my curiosity and authenticity have been both appreciated and frustrating, but eye-opening and therapeutic. I can’t promise that this journey will always be easy, but I can promise that I’ll be with you every step of the way. My main goal is to establish a truthful and supportive relationship with my clients while creating a safe space where no subject is off limits.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I believe it is important to acknowledge the courage that led you to seek support. If you feel stuck and unable to move forward, please know you are not alone! At times, we all need support. Seeking support from our loved ones can be helpful, but sometimes we can not be completely honest with our loved ones, and they may be unable to be completely objective. Let me provide you with unconditional and objective support with zero judgement.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are curiosity, honesty, empathy, and humor. Some feel laughing and crying at the same time somehow invalidates how we feel. I believe comic relief can be therapeutic and quite necessary at times.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have worked with all types of people on issues ranging from anxiety and depression to mental health crises, substance use, and relationship struggles.  I strive to help people explore their inner selves to help develop healthy habits and boundaries to enhance a healthy relationship with themselves and others. I help people make sense of what they've tried to sort it out on their own. I want to help people develop their own skills to enable them to grow outside a therapeutic setting.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I find this approach very helpful because unlike other methods, ACT does not aim to confront or remove challenging thoughts and feelings, but rather encourages acceptance and mindfulness based strategies and techniques that help people get unstuck and and move forward. Unfortunately, we can always expect that at times, life will be unfair and at times, there isn't anything we can do about it but accept it.
