Hi! I am Kim Allen. I am excited to meet with you! I have been working with individuals of all ages for over 15 years. I have always been passionate about helping others and would love to support you whether you are simply going through some tough times, needs some motivation in making a change in your life or are struggling with some more difficult challenges. I have worked with a variety of populations including victims of trauma; parents, adolescents and children struggling with mental health or other neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism, etc). and individuals working to make lifestyle changes such as diet and nutritional changes. I have also worked with couples on improving their communication and relationship skills. I am particularly passionate about helping others find ways to make changes using natural means including things such as meditation, dietary changes, nutritional supplementation and behavior modification. Whether you are new to therapy or just seeking someone new to work with, I understand that taking the step to meet with someone new can be overwhelming. You have taken the first step toward making change. I hope you will let me help you take the next step!
Meeting someone new can be overwhelming, especially when you will be sharing private and at times intimate details about yourself. I take this very seriously and feel that it is important for a trusting relationship be built between us. You can expect the first session to be about building a relationship of trust and developing an understanding of the goals you have for therapy. As we move through sessions we will develop a plan together on how to best address the concerns you are bringing to therapy. Sessions will then proceed with reaching your goals in mind.
While I have experience working with a variety of individuals and continue to enjoy supporting all populations, I particularly thrive in working with individuals that are open to trying less conventional methods. While I feel that medications can be helpful, I find that there are a number of other types of intervention that can help people long term including making dietary change, learning stress management, utilizing talk therapy, exercise, etc.

I really like the therapy relationship we are building on. She is really easy to talk to and I feel does an excellent job of letting us patients get it all out while steering us back in the right direction. I think she is a great fit for people who have a really busy brain like myself. Every session comes with a few action steps that are clear and I really enjoy that part. I like working on them throughout the week. I'm looking forward to continuing with Kimberly.

I have been searching for therapy for some time. As a fellow Kimberly I said this is the one. This will work out. And it did! One session and I found her amazing! I have hope! The whole process has been perfectly splendid from start to current. I am so pleased that I found Kimberly. Kindness goes a long way. Also, she looked at me when I was talking. She didn’t fix her hair or look bored. Both have happened to me with virtual in the past. I am so glad that I took this step!
