My zeal is to equipping individuals and families to be successful through collaboration of treatment goals and exploring innovative solutions, I am passionate about creating environments for individuals to excel by overcoming obstacles/barriers. My drive in practice comes from a quote by MLK “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Feeling of relief and a sense of knowing how to navigate whatever season you are in. “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”- Walt Disney

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I skillfully integrate CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focus to match each client’s unique needs, readiness, and goals. My approach is structured enough to produce measurable results but flexible enough to remain human, empathetic, and culturally grounded. My approach centers on clients’ strengths, resilience, and capacity for growth. I empower clients to become active participants in their healing — encouraging autonomy, self-awareness, and practical skill-building.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Feeling stuck? Want to change, but not sure where to start? Need help navigating change? Together, we’ll uncover your strengths, work through the barriers holding you back, and build a path toward the life you desire. It's never too late to start a new chapter. You are stronger than you think, and change is possible. My role is to help you tap into your resilience, challenge unhelpful patterns, and build the life you want . Therapy with me is active, honest, and focused on real progress. “Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is goanna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary intervention with adolescents, adults, and families across a range of clinical settings—including outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and group facilitation. My training has included both formal coursework and ongoing professional development in evidence-based CBT techniques. Over the years, I’ve applied CBT in individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducational workshops to address issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, substance use recovery, and maladaptive behavior patterns.

Motivational Interviewing

Through open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summaries (OARS), I guide clients to voice their own reasons for change rather than imposing my own agenda. This helps strengthen client's intrinsic motivation and commitment. Many clients come to therapy uncertain about whether they want to change or can change. I use MI techniques such as decisional balance exercises and scaling questions to help them weigh the pros and cons of change in a supportive, empowering way.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As a clinician, I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify practical steps toward meaningful change rather than focusing primarily on the origins of problems. My approach emphasizes client strengths, resilience, and achievable goals, helping individuals recognize that they already possess many of the tools necessary to improve their lives.

Franklin’s super powers are open-mindedness and cognitive development in regards to understanding what growth and healing looks like! Only been in one session so far but I’m excited that I’ve found the right therapist to go on this healing journey with!

I like that he drew parallels between my early life and core beliefs and how that informs my parenting. He wants to help me work on myself so I can approach my daughter better, but at the same time, I didn't feel as though he was blaming me for her problems.
