I am Kendall Barron, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth. I received a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. For the past five years, I have spent my career working as a school-based mental health counselor, supporting children, adolescents, and families through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. In my practice, I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with a supportive and eclectic therapeutic approach, allowing me to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. My goals are to create a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported and empowered in your healing process. I welcome you to reach out and begin your journey toward healing and well-being.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We'll talk about your current concerns, personal history, symptoms and stressors. We will also review informed consent, confidentiality and your rights as a client. I aim to create a supportive and comfortable space where you can share at your own pace. Together, we will begin to identify treatment goals, discuss what you hope to gain from the process, and answer any questions you may have.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My therapeutic approach focuses on creating a supportive and collaborative environment while using practical, evidenced-based strategies. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. By combining CBT with supportive and eclectic methods, I tailor therapy to each individual, so clients feel both supported and equipped with effective tools to navigate challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Supportive
In my practice, I use Supportive Therapy to help clients feel heard, validated, and empowered during difficult life experiences. My approach focuses on building a trusting therapeutic relationship while helping clients strengthen coping skills, improve emotional awareness, and develop practical strategies to navigate challenges. I tailor sessions to each client's needs, providing guidance, encouragement and a safe space for growth and healing.
Eclectic
I use an Eclectic Therapy approach by integrating techniques from different evidence-based methods to best meet each client's unique needs. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor treatment by drawing from multiple therapeutic approaches to help clients gain insight, build coping skills, and make meaning progress toward their goals.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a core foundation in my work with clients. CBT helps individuals identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, understand how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier coping strategies. While CBT is widely incorporated in my sessions, I also integrate a variety of other approaches to ensure treatment is personalized, practical and aligned with each client's unique needs and goals.
