About me

I enjoy working with a diverse clientele and assisting with the development of skills surrounding issues such as anxiety, depression and conflict resolution. I am well-versed in a variety of approaches and cater that approach to best assist the client I am working with in each circumstance. I have specialized training in substance abuse and mental health as well as in psychodrama. I have worked with clients struggling with substance abuse and dual diagnoses for over ten years, and have a great deal of experience working with clients who struggle with mood and adjustment disorders.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is mainly the chance for me to get to know you; there's no pressure to share everything at once, and you're always in control of what you choose to talk about. We'll cover, what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of it, some background on your life, current challenges. Moreover, I will explain formalities-how therapy works, also boundaries and confidentiality. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions, and freely address concerns. Overall, I would like for this to be a safe, comfortable space for you to express yourself

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Ability to build rapport and trust with my clients-maintaining non-judgmental stance. The therapeutic relationship, in my opinion creates the foundation for growth, healing, and change. I believe all folks are capable of change, and aim to support clients in a way where they feel engaged and hopeful throughout the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to help feel better, develop a deeper understanding of self, and build effective coping skills for everyday life. Goals are personalized, and can change over time depending on your needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This approach is structured, as well as evidenced based, and can change unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. Together, we work to build practical skills for managing emotional distress, improving coping, and fostering long-term well-being.
