(she/her)
Welcome, my name is Shannon and I am licensed therapist providing individual therapy to clients in Massachusetts and Vermont. I have experience supporting clients with a wide variety of challenges including mood and anxiety disorders, relational patterns, and life transitions. I strive to create a compassionate, collaborative space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout your healing process. Whether you are navigating life transitions, feeling stuck in relationship patterns, or managing anxiety, stress, or low mood, I look forward to working with you to explore what is happening beneath the surface and create a life that is more fulfilling.
My priority is creating welcoming and supportive environment where I can begin to understand you, your strengths, and your goals. By the end of our first session, I hope to have built a strong foundation for our therapeutic relationship and a shared vision of our future work together.
I believe deeply in the importance of a strong and supportive therapeutic relationship, collaborative goal-setting, and ongoing monitoring of progress. I am goal-driven and results-oriented while also honoring the reality that growth takes time, trust, and vulnerability.
I enjoy supporting clients who feel a strong desire to create meaningful change in their lives. Many of the people I support are navigating life transitions, feeling stuck in relationship patterns, or managing anxiety and low mood. Together, we can create a welcoming space to explore what is happening beneath the surface, build practical tools, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is an evidence-based practice that is effective for a variety of concerns including mood, anxiety, and trauma. CBT can help you become more aware of the patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress. While utilizing CBT, we will challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, develop coping strategies, and practice more effective behaviors.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I integrate DBT skills training into my work with clients who are seeking support managing intense or overwhelming emotions. DBT skill areas include mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. By learning and applying these skills in real-life situations, clients achieve enhanced emotional stability, improved relationships, and greater confidence in navigating daily challenges.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution Focused therapy is a goal-oriented and strengths-based approach which emphasizes what is already working in your life including your existing abilities, resources, and successes. Together, we will identify existing strengths and successes and build on them to create meaningful and sustainable change. By focusing on practical solutions and small, achievable steps, SFT can help you gain clarity, feel more empowered, and move toward the future you want to create.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
When working with clients with OCD, I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard treatment for OCD. This model helps to take power back from obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors by gradually facing triggers while resisting the urge to engage in compulsions. This process helps retrain the brain to see these triggers as less threatening over time.
Attachment-based
For clients experiencing relational concerns, I draw on attachment-based principles to develop an understanding of how early experiences shape current patterns of connection, coping, and self-worth. By exploring these relational patterns and templates within our safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, you can develop greater emotional security, self-understanding, and the capacity to form healthier and more satisfying relationships.
