I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping women navigate anxiety, overwhelm, and the emotional challenges that come with different stages of life. For more than 20 years, I have worked with women and families in medical and maternal health settings, including OB/GYN practices and postpartum programs. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the pressures many women carry while balancing relationships, parenting, work, and caregiving responsibilities. Many of the women I work with appear capable and “together” on the outside but feel stressed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted internally. They often feel responsible for keeping everything running smoothly for their families while quietly managing their own worries, self-doubt, or sense of overwhelm. In therapy, I offer a warm and supportive space where you can slow down and talk openly about what you’re experiencing. Together we explore the patterns contributing to stress or anxiety and develop practical tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and balanced in your daily life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and uncertain. Many clients come to their first session wondering what they should say or whether they will feel comfortable opening up. My goal is to make the first session feel relaxed and supportive so you can begin to feel understood. During our first meeting, we will talk about what has been weighing on you lately and what brought you to therapy at this point in your life. Some women come in feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or constant worry. Others feel emotionally drained from managing work, parenting, relationships, and the many responsibilities that come with daily life. You don’t need to prepare anything ahead of time. Many people simply start by sharing what has been feeling most stressful or difficult recently. I may ask some questions about your current situation, important relationships in your life, and any patterns you’ve noticed in how you respond to stress. We’ll also talk about what you hope might feel different through therapy. Some clients want help managing anxiety or overthinking. Others are looking for support with parenting, family relationships, or navigating life transitions. The first session is really about getting to know each other and beginning to understand how therapy can best support you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and more hopeful about the path forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is balancing empathy with practical guidance. Many women are looking not only for a place to talk, but also for tools that help them feel more steady and confident in their everyday lives. In our work together, we explore patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or self-criticism. Many women carry an internal pressure to do everything well, take care of everyone else, and avoid making mistakes. Over time, this pressure can lead to chronic worry, emotional exhaustion, and difficulty prioritizing their own needs. I help clients understand where these patterns may have developed while also teaching practical strategies for managing anxious thoughts, setting healthier boundaries, improving communication in relationships, and responding differently to stressful situations. My background in women’s health and family systems also allows me to support clients through the emotional challenges that arise in parenting, family relationships, and changing life roles. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a calm, thoughtful space where they can gain perspective, feel understood, and begin making meaningful changes that feel realistic and sustainable. I also have the following advanced certifications: • Certified in Maternal Mental Health, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder • Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant • Parent Coach and Certified Positive Discipling Parent Trainer

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I primarily work with adult women who are experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, parenting challenges, or significant life transitions. Many of my clients are women who juggle multiple roles—professional, partner, parent, caregiver—and feel overwhelmed by the pressure to keep everything together. Some women come to therapy because they feel constantly worried or mentally exhausted from overthinking. Others are struggling with boundaries in relationships or feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs. I also work with women navigating different stages of motherhood, including pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and parenting children as they grow and change. In addition, I support women who are navigating challenges such as: • Difficult sibling relationships • Ongoing tension or unresolved dynamics with parents • Caring for or setting boundaries with aging parents • Adjusting to changing relationships with adult children • Navigating the emotional shift when children become independent • Becoming a step parent and redefining your role in the family Becoming a parent can be deeply meaningful but can also bring unexpected challenges. Many women find themselves navigating boundaries, expectations, and changing family roles while trying to remain connected to their own parents. Therapy provides a space to talk openly about these evolving relationships and develop healthier ways of communicating, setting boundaries, and maintaining meaningful family connections. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of worry, or navigating difficult family dynamics, therapy can help you gain clarity, reduce stress, and move forward with greater confidence and emotional balance.
