Hi, I'm Julie D'Anniballe, founder of D'Anniballe Counseling and Wellness. I'm a licensed mental health counselor with over 18 years of experience. Additionally, I am a supervisor for the Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors. At D'Anniballe Counseling and Wellness, I prioritize creating a nurturing environment for healing and personal growth. I provide mental health counseling to adults and teens who are seeking support, clarity, and meaningful change in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be our Get to Know You session. This is where you will share what brought you to therapy and what goals you have for this experience. I will provide an overview of the ethical rules I have to practice, I will explain HIPAA and limits of confidentiality and listen as I begin building your treatment plan. Your treatment plan is a working document that we will develop together that outlines where we want to see growth and my plan to help you get there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My friends and colleagues call me Jules. We have a fun, relaxed time together. I am not going to ever pretend to be an expert on your life- I see my role as someone you have hired to help you along the way. This is your journey, and I want you as the patient to own this. I am not a workbook therapist- as in I don't have the sessions planned out before you arrive. I work at your pace with your goals in mind. We will work hard and celebrate your growth together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe space where you can feel heard and understood. Therapy should be supportive and empowering, not overwhelming. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and help you move toward greater emotional well-being. Whether you're navigating stress, life transitions, or deeper personal challenges, you don't have to do it alone!

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This frame of practice is often used with Anxiety symptoms. It's aimed to help adjust your thinking so you can better handle life stressors, including the expected and unexpected.

Motivational Interviewing

This technique is using when working with teens as well as adults with substance use concerns. It is a non-judgmental approach that works at the patient's pace.

Interpersonal

Interpersonal relationship therapy is used to identify strengths and areas of growth within personal, intimate relationships with family and friends. It's geared to improve personal relationships.
