I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience in helping others. I have served children, adults, couples, military members and their families. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have seen great results when using this method with my clients. I am a veteran, retired military spouse, and have dealt with grief on a personal level, which I believe helps me to be more empathetic for my clients.
Our first session will be just getting to know each other and exploring your concerns and reasons for seeking therapy. I believe that a great therapist/client relationship is built on trust and communication, so I like to use the first session to start building that relationship and helping you feel comfortable opening up to me.
My ability to be empathetic and listen to my clients has helped me be a successful therapist. I also have a lot of years of experience in therapy and have helped my clients navigate many different stages of life.
I best serve individuals who are navigating meaningful life transitions and seeking support to regain balance and clarity. My ideal clients may be experiencing grief, relationship challenges, or adjustment difficulties related to changes in family dynamics, career, or daily life. They are often motivated for growth, open to reflection, and looking to better understand themselves while building healthier coping strategies, improving communication, and creating a more fulfilling and stable sense of well-being.

Michelle is amazing, and I truly appreciate her authenticity. She listens well and lets me talk and work through my emotions without interrupting or having a bias toward the topic. I feel comfortable with our conversations and the feedback she gives to work through those situations in life. I would recommend Michelle as a provider :)

I’ve tried counseling before and after just my first season I feel so good about where it will lead.
