Hello, I'm Genevieve, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping adults navigate life's challenges with compassion and support. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we'll explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck while building practical tools to help you cope more effectively and move forward with confidence. My approach is personalized to your unique needs and draws from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, strengthen resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change. I am committed to ongoing professional growth and continually seek advanced training to provide the highest quality care to my clients. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing, growth, and a more balanced life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is all about connection and understanding. We’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and any concerns you may have. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—I move at your pace. I may introduce simple tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, or compassion-focused work to help you start feeling supported right away. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they feel heard, supported, and guided—not just listened to. I aim to help you gain clarity, build effective tools, and move forward with a greater sense of direction. If you’re ready to feel better and take the next step, I’m here to support you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am highly attuned to my clients’ emotional needs and work to build strong, trusting relationships. I take a compassionate, strengths-based approach, helping clients recognize their resilience while developing practical tools to manage anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and navigate life’s challenges. I am also adaptable in my work, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual. I adjust my approach to ensure it is engaging, effective, and meaningful. Additionally, I value collaboration and clear communication. I work closely with clients or caregivers when appropriate—to support progress both in and outside of sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I support individuals in identifying and challenging negative thought patterns while building practical coping skills. My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation, trauma, and oppositional behaviors. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach and tailor CBT techniques to meet each client’s unique needs, helping them create meaningful and lasting change.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

My approach incorporates mindfulness-based interventions to enhance self-awareness, reduce reactivity, and support emotional regulation. When integrated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness helps clients disengage from unhelpful thought patterns and build more adaptive coping strategies

Compassion Focused

I incorporate Compassion-Focused Therapy to help clients reduce self-criticism, build self-compassion, and develop a more supportive internal dialogue. This approach is especially effective for individuals experiencing anxiety, shame, and low self-esteem.

Strength-Based

session, I focus on helping clients recognize and build on their existing strengths rather than only focusing on problems or symptoms. I believe that each person already has resilience, skills, and inner resources that can be used to support growth and healing. I start by getting to know what’s working in your life—your coping skills, supports, values, and past successes. Even small wins matter. From there, I help you apply those strengths to current challenges in a practical and empowering way. For children and adolescents, I often highlight their unique abilities, interests, and positive behaviors to build confidence and engagement. This might include using play, creativity, or reinforcing moments when they demonstrate self-control, problem-solving, or emotional awareness. Throughout our work together, I aim to shift the focus from “what’s wrong” to “what’s strong,” helping you feel more capable, confident, and in control of your progress.
