Hello, my name is Lauren. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience treating individual adults who struggle with anxiety, family issues and life transitions. My favorite modality to work with is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Mindfulness practices. I believe that knowledge is power and frequently share resources with clients. In the first session I will ask you about what brings you to therapy and more importantly, what do you want your life to look like. My approach is collaborative and supportive, focusing our work on what is most meaningful to you, the obstacles that are in your way and how to overcome them. We will use your values goals and personal interests guide the work that we do together

Thanks to telehealth, I can serve clients all over the state of Massachusetts. I enjoy working with individual adults and may start running a mindfulness practice group in the future. The clients that I work with have been struggling with worry, fear, avoidance, self doubt, difficult relationships and difficulty concentrating.

Lauren was great when the issues I wanted to talk about were not too deep or complex. Once I began to open up I did not feel supported and often felt like she spent too much time talking and sharing personal connections/stories. I wish I had more time to talk as I was the client. I personally did not see the benefit of her coming up with a similar experience to every problem I shared.

Lauren is a fantastic listener and always has a way of accepting your feelings and relating them in an understandable and tangible way. I yap quite a bit, but when I'm not, she fills the silence supportively and encourages openness.
