Through my experience, I have learned that sharing my presence is much more important than providing answers. While my education in psychology and marriage and family therapy is valuable, my ability to connect with people in and through their pain is priceless. My approach combines practical insight with reflective conversation to help you better understand yourself and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First impressions matter, and I understand that the first session is often about you deciding whether I’m someone you feel comfortable talking with. Because of that, I’m just as interested in helping you get to know me as I am in getting to know you. During our first meeting, I’ll ask some questions to understand your story, your experiences, and what brings you to counseling. These aren’t trick questions meant to uncover “what’s wrong with you.” They’re simply a way for us to begin understanding what you’ve been navigating and what you might want to work toward. I also welcome your questions. Therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest—about what you’re struggling with, what you hope will change, and even about whether I’m the right person to help you. My goal is to create a space where you can talk openly about the things that feel difficult to say anywhere else. And if after meeting, you feel that my approach isn’t what you need, that’s completely okay. Finding the right fit is an important part of the process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where people feel comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing—sometimes for the first time. Many clients tell me they appreciate that our conversations feel natural and thoughtful rather than overly clinical or scripted. My approach focuses on helping people slow down and understand the patterns shaping their thoughts, reactions, and relationships. When we take time to reflect on those patterns, many clients begin to gain clarity about why they respond to stress, conflict, or life transitions the way they do. From there, our work often becomes less about “fixing problems” and more about developing healthier ways of responding to life with greater awareness, stability, and confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is anyone who wants to do something different. While habits are familiar and comfortable, they aren't always helpful. Understanding how we become stuck and why we are stuck in unproductive reactions and patterns is the most beneficial part of therapy. I don't tell people what to do or what's wrong with them. Instead, I focus on helping them understand what happened to them and how they adapted, either in healthy or unhealthy ways. If you're looking for someone to help you navigate the path to doing something different (and better) I'd love ot connect.
