New to Grow
I was born and raised in Florida. As a kid, I spent a lot of time playing video games and exploring the outdoors, searching for jellyfish, crabs, and manatees along the coast. I struggled to stay on top of assignments early in school, but during college I began treatment for ADHD and was able to flourish. That experience shaped my desire to support people in similar positions and help them move closer to the life they want to live.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Early on, we'll look at what's helped in the past and what hasn't, making sure our conversations actually feel useful so you don't leave feeling stuck or frustrated. My clients tend to benefit from focusing on self-compassion, emotional acceptance, and small, realistic changes that fit their life.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am a person first and use a deeply client-centered approach. You shape what our therapeutic relationship looks like within reason. I’ll invite you to reflect on how our conversations feel and to advocate for what works and what does not. That process is not only important for effective therapy, but also for developing healthier relationships with others and with yourself.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
ADHD makes it feel like you just aren’t trying hard enough. If you are so lazy, why are you here? It can be a confusing way for your brain to operate. Some days it's hard to get through the requirements of daily life, while others you come up with an amazing plan to shift everything. Together we can come up with realistic plans and I can help keep you on track. If you have ADHD, it's likely that while you tried your hardest, you couldn’t get your brain to work neurotypically and adults in your life weren’t satisfied. Now as an adult, you have learned to play the role of the one who is disappointed in you. Through our work together I can help you build a healthier relationship with yourself and your mind. Being kinder to yourself can help you handle challenges more effectively. We can set realistic goals, build consistency toward them, and process how growing up in a neurotypical world shaped how you see yourself today. The good news is I am here to help. I can support you in this journey of learning to treat yourself better, gain more self awareness and build the life you want. You are welcome to reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to see if working together feels right for you.

Humanistic
I take a person centered, relationship focused approach. Therapy with me is conversational and human, not overly structured. We slow things down, make space for emotions, and focus on what really matters to you. While I highly value your personal autonomy and think you are the greatest expert on your life, I will not leave you directionless in times of distress.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT is a helpful framework to learn how to have a healthier relationship with thoughts and emotions, focusing on accepting them for what they are rather than trying to change them. I can help you learn how to act in accordance with your values without letting your thoughts and emotions control you. In my experience, this lack of pressure being put on trying to change your thoughts and emotions leads to a reduction in the intensity of difficult ones.
Interpersonal
If you are struggling in your relationships with others, Interpersonal Process Therapy is extremely beneficial in my experience. Naturally, many of the issues that show up in your personal relationships will show up in our therapeutic relationship as well. We can analyze and explore these struggles without judgement or the threat you might feel exploring them in other relationships.
Motivational Interviewing
Utilizing Motivational interviewing, we can work to better determine what your goals are and what is getting in the way of you making them happen. The beauty of motivational interviewing is we are able to deeply explore and process the likely valid reasons you are not taking the steps you may feel you need to and figure out how to navigate hurdles effectively.
