Vanessa Fabian is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Wyoming, Idaho, and Oregon. She holds a BS in Psychology, a MS in Kinesiology specializing in Outdoor Education, and a Master of Social Work. Vanessa has a wide-ranging professional background in mental health including working in private practice, government and school-based agencies, residential treatment, and wilderness therapy. She has extensive experience working with adults, teens, and families, treating trauma, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, PTSD, ADHD, and oppositional defiant disorder.
Our first session will explore why you are seeking help, what you hope to accomplish, and your past mental health history, as required by law.
Vanessa’s approach is based on the idea that every client is an expert in their own life, and hopes that she can be a guide. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic models and techniques to best serve each unique individual. She has completed intensive trainings in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Adventure/Experiential Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. In addition to this she often utilizes Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strength Based/Solution Focused techniques
