Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Florida, Oregon, Kansas (LSCSW), New Hampshire, and Texas. I received my Master's degree from Louisiana State University and have been practicing for 9 years. I help adults find ways to heal from their trauma, help them become more self-aware, and to stop negative thinking, so they can become the best versions of themselves. I help adults ages 18+ struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, schizophrenia, relationship issues, suicidal ideations, self-harm, grief/loss, life transitions, and anger management. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities such as CBT, CPT, DBT, ACT, Interpersonal, Narrative, Supportive, Compassionate, Grief, and various others depending on your needs. I help clients stay in the present moment (utilizing other techniques) as this can be very difficult to do in our busy lives today. I became a social worker because I want to help people feel better about themselves and their lives. I no longer wanted to be "just an employee" and work for a large organization. I wanted to use my strengths and abilities to help others because it would be challenging and rewarding. Therapy is a form of "self-care", and we will work together as a team to address your specific challenges, goals, and needs. I am dedicated, passionate, and caring. I also conduct emotional support animal evaluations in Florida, Texas, New Hampshire, Kansas, and Oregon. If you would like more information about me or getting an emotional support animal evaluation completed, please visit my website at instillinghopepsychotherapy.com.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discuss what you are looking for in your therapeutic experiences. This will help me form a tailored plan for the direction we will go in our following session.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my empathic nature and my drive to assist others in problem solving. I want my clients to feel that they are heard and understood. My goal is to get you to the place that you strive to be. I am empowering, caring, great listener, and clients find it easy to talk to me.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with people who are of age 18 and above. I help individuals who are in need of finding happiness, balance and fulfillment. I want to help my clients explore their past and present and make sense of their experiences and the choices they have made, so they may then find peace and direction.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. I have used CBT with my clients to assist them in self-discovery to understand their fears and insecurities, so they feel more confident to change behaviors and enhance their lifestyle.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is especially effective for people who have difficulty managing and regulating their emotions. I have used DBT to assist them in managing their emotions in times of a crisis or in high stress environments by helping them understand their triggers and assisting them with practical solutions when issues arise to help them feel more prepared and confident to cope with life's challenges.
Grief Therapy
I utilize this treatment method to help clients experiencing grief in many forms such as the loss of a relationship, job, significant other, family members, and friends.

Choosing Lyndsey as my provider is one of the best decisions I've ever made! She is kind, supportive, open-minded, and truly cares about what I say. I always feel comfortable opening up to her, and I've made amazing progress since I began seeing her. I highly recommend her!
