You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin — that's okay. I know that first step can feel like the hardest one to take. All you need is the willingness to take it. I help adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, chronic health conditions, pain, or major life changes reconnect with themselves and feel more in control of their lives. I began my social work career in 2006 in medical social work, hospice, and home health, supporting individuals and families through chronic illness, serious health concerns, loss, and difficult transitions. These experiences shaped my understanding of the deep connection between physical health and emotional well-being. I became a mental health provider because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered. I'm passionate about helping people regain a sense of themselves, find hope, and develop tools to move forward through trauma, stress, and difficult circumstances. Sometimes life simply becomes too much, and it's okay to say, "This is hard," and ask for help. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I primarily work with adults navigating life transitions, chronic health conditions, pain, medical trauma, and traumatic experiences. My approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from EMDR, Brainspotting, clinical hypnosis, IFS-informed and parts-based approaches, Ego State Therapy, Imaginal Nurturing, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), tailored to each client's needs and goals. I believe wellness is holistic — we don't get sick one way, and we don't get well one way. Mental and physical health are deeply connected, and I'm here to support your whole-person well-being through counseling, so you can get back to being you and enjoy life again.
In our first session, we’ll slow down and focus on building comfort and trust. You’ll have space to share what’s bringing you in, ask questions, and talk about what you hope to get out of therapy. I’ll guide you with gentle structure, gathering some background at your pace—no pressure to tell everything at once. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and what support might feel most helpful. My priority is creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and not alone as we begin this journey. You don’t need to prepare—just come as you are.
My greatest strength is creating a warm, grounding space where clients feel truly seen, safe, and supported. I bring a trauma-informed lens to everything I do, gently weaving together EMDR, Hypnotherapy, Brainspotting, CBT, somatic processing, Imaginal Nurturing, and parts work to help you process at a pace that feels right for you. I have a particular gift for helping people recognize the patterns trauma has shaped, build resilience within their nervous system, and reconnect with the wisdom that's been inside them all along. Clients often tell me they leave our work together feeling calmer, more empowered, and more like themselves again. Healing doesn't have to be rushed — it just has to feel safe. I believe therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and deeply personal to you. My hope is to offer a space where you can finally slow down, make sense of your story, reconnect with who you are, and move toward the meaningful change you deserve.
I work with adults who are navigating life transitions, managing anxiety or depression, coping with grief or trauma, and seeking to improve emotional regulation and overall well-being. My ideal clients are motivated to engage in therapy, open to exploring both talk therapy and brain-based approaches, and interested in learning practical skills to manage stress, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change in their lives.

I was trained in EMDR in 2023 and I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist as well as an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps clients process traumatic memories by focusing briefly on the memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements. This approach reduces the vividness and emotional intensity of trauma and is an extensively researched, effective method for trauma recovery. Also, I am trained in the Safe and Sound Protocol by Unyte (SSP) and utilize this often in Phase 2 of EMDR. SSL was designed by Dr Stephen Porges. More can be found here on Safe and Sound Protocol https://youtu.be/teGu3yljjyg?si=87giaK7L5UuaLP_V
I also provide Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), a brain- and body-based trauma approach that integrates awareness of the nervous system and bodily responses with the processing of difficult or overwhelming experiences. DBR focuses on the brain’s orienting response and the physical responses that can occur when we experience stress or trauma. By bringing gentle awareness to these responses, DBR can support clients in processing distressing experiences and developing greater emotional and physiological regulation. I am currently Level 1 trained in DBR and anticipate completing Level 2 training by the end of October. I integrate DBR into therapy when appropriate and tailor its use to each client’s individual needs, readiness, and therapeutic goals. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate environment where clients can explore and process difficult experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
I incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, Ego State Therapy-informed, and Imaginal Nurturing approaches into my therapeutic work when appropriate. These approaches recognize that people can experience different parts or aspects of themselves that develop in response to life experiences, relationships, stress, and trauma. Therapy can provide an opportunity to better understand these internal experiences with curiosity and compassion while developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of internal safety. Imaginal Nurturing can be used to support clients in developing compassion and care toward younger or more vulnerable parts of themselves that may have experienced unmet emotional needs, fear, or difficult experiences. I use these approaches in a collaborative and gentle manner, helping clients explore their internal experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable. The goal is not to eliminate or reject any part of oneself, but to foster greater understanding, integration, self-compassion, and a more supportive relationship with oneself.
I have been trained in Brainspotting since 2019/2020 and have completed both Phase 1 and Phase 2 training. Brainspotting is a brain- and body-based therapeutic approach that can help clients access, process, and work through emotional experiences and distress that may be difficult to reach through traditional talk therapy alone. I incorporate Brainspotting into therapy when appropriate to help clients explore and process trauma, emotional distress, difficult experiences, and patterns that may feel stuck or difficult to shift. The approach can support greater emotional awareness, regulation, and integration while allowing clients to work at their own pace in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
Trauma-informed care is a way of providing support that recognizes the deep and lasting impact trauma can have on a person’s life, health, and relationships. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?”—trauma-informed care gently asks, “What happened or what did you experience?” It honors your lived experience and understands that behaviors, symptoms, and even physical health issues often make sense when viewed through the lens of trauma. In trauma-informed therapy, you can expect: • Emotional and physical safety to be prioritized • Collaborative and respectful relationships between client and therapist • Empowerment and choice, honoring your voice and pace • Awareness of how trauma lives in the body, and tools to reconnect gently • Compassion for all parts of you, even the ones you’ve been taught to hide Whether you’ve experienced narcissistic abuse, religious trauma, or the long-term effects of early emotional neglect, trauma-informed care creates a space where healing can unfold—not through force, but through safety, attunement, and trust. I provide trauma-informed care grounded in safety, collaboration, and compassion. I understand how early relationships, attachment wounds, and overwhelming life experiences can shape emotional patterns, self-worth, and connection with others. My approach integrates attachment-focused therapy, imaginal nurturing, and relational healing to help clients reconnect with unmet emotional needs, build internal safety, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can process trauma, strengthen resilience, and move toward healing with greater self-compassion and authenticity.
