About me

Hello! I’m Rachel, a Licensed Master Social Worker with a passion for helping people heal, grow, and create meaningful change in their lives. You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something to change. Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, or the traumatic effects of experiences from your past. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy with me is a place to feel heard and understood while also gaining practical tools and support for meaningful change. We’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you, using an approach tailored to your needs. For those who desire it, I’m also comfortable incorporating Christian faith and values into therapy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take things at your pace. We’ll get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and identify your goals. From there, we’ll begin developing a plan together that feels manageable and fits your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, compassion, and honesty to my work with clients. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. I offer practical guidance and gentle challenge when appropriate, while respecting your pace and what feels comfortable for you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with clients of all ages and helping them sort through life’s many challenges, including stress, grief, trauma, difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression, parenting, caregiver stress and so much more. I especially enjoy helping clients who feel overwhelmed, stressed or unsure of what comes next. Together, we’ll find an approach that fits your needs and helps you move forward.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR techniques can be used to calm stress and anxiety related to trauma. It helps clients process difficult or traumatic past experiences that may still be affecting how they feel, think, or respond today.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Parts work and Easy Ego States are a gentle and accessible approach that helps clients understand and work compassionately with different aspects of themselves.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT skills help clients better understand and manage strong emotions, cope with stress, improve relationships, and respond to difficult situations in healthier ways. We focus on practical skills that you can use in everyday life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT approaches teach clients how their thoughts influence their behavior and how to use that as a strength.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy helps you notice what is happening in your body, thoughts, and emotions without judgment. It can help you feel more grounded, manage stress, and develop greater awareness of how your body responds to difficult experiences.
