You may be nervous about participating in therapy due to worries of feeling vulnerable or being judged. I work hard to provide an environment that is accepting and supportive and simultaneously looks for ways that increase growth and healing. My approach emphasizes skill-building, self-knowledge, and balance. My experience has included working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, family conflict, trauma, and other issues that accompany adolescence and adulthood. Together we'll explore the tools that will work for you in working through your issues and coming out stronger! I view my role in your life as being part of your team where I can help you determine what is best for you. It is through working together that I believe positive changes can occur.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the initial session, I let clients know that I am working on gathering information so as to figure out how best to help them. Clients will be asked questions about why they are seeking therapy as well as other areas of their lives. I tend to be relaxed and use a lot of humor, which I hope puts people at ease. We will discuss goals of therapy to have a plan as to how to work together in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a lot of experience working with people with depressive and anxiety issues as well as trauma. I especially love to work with young adults.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love to work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma issues, that are just trying to get through life and find meaning and may be stuck due to unhelpful patterns or relationships in their lives.
