Greetings! I am Letitia, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. I love helping clients find their passion in life, remove blocks that are keeping them from being their best self and learn to live a life they have always dreamed. I have been through many of the same challenges you’re facing right now – fear, depression, anxiety, lack of purpose, low confidence, acceptance … I’ve been there. I’ve been in the mental health field for 10 years and I absolutely love what I do. I have worked with clients to overcome depression, anxiety, ADHD, PMDD, phobias, PTSD and more. I have worked to help clients process trauma and loss, work through breakups, overcome alcohol addiction and I have also helped clients navigate through college and/or become successful in their careers. My aim is to assist clients wherever they need it.
I was an educator for 12 years, so I love to teach. I was first introduced to therapy when I started seeing my own therapist at age 25. She was someone who I felt comfortable with, who challenged my negative thoughts and behaviors and who praised me along the journey. This is what I aim to do for my clients!
My counseling style is eclectic. This way I can adapt to the unique needs of each specific client, depending on the problem, the treatment goals, and the person’s expectations and motivation. I utilize a variety of different techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, stress management, increasing self-worth, family systems, incorporation of meditation, mind/body connection, mood management, anxiety reduction, empowerment, and school and/or work/life balance. I am also a believer in holistic health, mindfulness and health and fitness.
My experiences have shaped me into an empathetic, caring and non-judgmental clinician. My problem-solving approach for clients helps me quickly get to the heart of the matter and help my clients start healing at a consistent pace. I use solution-based counseling methods to get my clients to a point where they can start recognizing cognitive distortions, reducing negative behaviors and displaying good decision-making skills.
