Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first therapy session, clients can expect a combination of getting to know each other, understanding their goals, and setting the groundwork for the therapeutic relationship. It’s a crucial time to establish trust and create a safe space for open dialogue.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a mental health provider, I’d say my greatest strengths lie in my ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and to create a space where they feel truly seen and understood.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Individuals looking to develop coping skills, emotional regulation, or problem-solving abilities. The ideal client is one who is ready to work on themselves, has a genuine desire to make changes, and is willing to engage in a trusting, collaborative relationship with their therapist.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a structured, goal-oriented type of psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and change negative patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to emotional distress. It's commonly used to treat conditions like depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, and OCD, among others.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a type of psychotherapy that emphasizes finding solutions in the present time and exploring the client's strengths and resources rather than focusing on past problems or deep emotional exploration. It’s a forward-thinking, goal-oriented approach that helps individuals identify their goals and the steps they can take to achieve them.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Is a humanistic approach that emphasizes creating a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and genuine therapeutic relationship. The core of PCT is the belief that people have an innate capacity for self-healing and personal growth, and that they are the best experts on their own lives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a unique and highly effective form of therapy that combines aspects of mindfulness, behavioral therapy, and acceptance strategies to help individuals live meaningful, values-driven lives. Like the other therapeutic approaches I’ve described, ACT is designed to help clients reduce psychological distress, but its core focus is on acceptance, psychological flexibility, and making committed actions toward what truly matters to the individual.
