Hi! I am a Pennsylvania based Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) currently accepting new virtual clients. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Addiction Studies from Immaculata University in 2015 and have clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My goal is to help individuals in all stages of addiction recovery -- this might mean you are considering 12 step meetings for the first time, just completed inpatient treatment, want to strengthen a current recovery program, or would like to develop a relapse prevention plan.
In our first session I will gather some background information, provide space for you to explore current challenges, and we will discuss goals and a plan for follow up sessions.
My therapeutic approach is strength based, individualized, solution focused, and direct.
I enjoy helping those with a relapse history understand how relapse is a process, not an event. Together we can explore how self defeating behaviors and core beliefs can lead to disfunction in recovery, and create a plan to address and intervene on this process in a healthy way.
I have worked in the substance use disorder treatment field for 10 years, and typically utilize a combination of Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention Therapy (RPT), and Psychoeducation.
