Hi there! Many of us struggle in silence to overcome the challenges we face, but you no longer have to face that battle alone. From someone who has had their own personal struggles with mental health, I want you to know that you are not alone. I strive to create a space for you to feel seen, heard, and safe. As someone who has been to therapy, I understand how difficult it can be to take that next step. Finding the right therapist can be hard. Finding someone to support you, challenge you, and hold space for the things most people in our life have no idea we are facing. I would be honored to be that space for you. I hope we can work together to help you reach your goals. While the first step is acknowledging the change you need, it takes courage to recognize you need some guidance. It takes even more courage to initiate those first steps towards improving your life.
Prepare to meet a therapist who is open-minded, compassionate, and collaborative. You can expect someone who is kind and present. The first session is mainly reviewing your intake paperwork, understanding what brings you to therapy and the challenges you have been facing, and what to expect in our time spent together. We will also set goals for what you would like to achieve in therapy. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have as well.
As a mental health provider, I meet each person where they are at in their own personal journey. Other clients I have worked for have described me as warm, kind, and empathetic. I utilize active listening, clear communication, and have the ability to foster a safe and trusting relationship that allows clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in a genuine and open way. I can hold space for difficult moments, be an engaged listener, and offer guidance when you are unsure how to move forward.
My ideal client is someone who has either had years of experience in therapy, or someone who has never met a therapist in their life. From someone struggling with depression and unable to get out of bed, to someone struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, and unable to stop their mind from racing, I can offer support and guidance. I work well with clients who come from a history of trauma and abuse seeking to understand how their past has been impacting their now. I help clients develop healthier ways of navigating relationship issues or difficulty connecting with the people in their life. This can also include difficulty forming new relationships with others. I can offer new ways of managing stress and developing better coping skills to navigate emotional distress.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps potential clients struggling with mental health issues by teaching them to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and unhelpful behaviors that contribute to their distress. Through structured techniques like cognitive restructuring and exposure therapy, clients learn to replace harmful thoughts with more balanced ones and gradually face feared situations. This approach empowers individuals to develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.
Psychodynamic
As your therapist, I will help you explore how unconscious thoughts and early life experiences shape your current emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I encourage open-ended reflection on feelings, memories, and recurring patterns, while paying attention to themes that emerge in how you relate to them (often called transference). By bringing these underlying conflicts and patterns into awareness, I will help you gradually understand and work through them, leading to more flexible, self-aware, and intentional ways of thinking and relating to others.
Trauma Informed Care
In trauma-informed care, a therapist approaches treatment with an understanding of how past trauma can shape a person’s emotions, behavior, and sense of safety, integrating knowledge about conditions like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I will prioritize creating a safe, predictable, and collaborative environment, giving you control over the pace and direction of therapy. I am careful to avoid re-triggering distress, help you build emotional regulation and coping skills, and support you in processing experiences in a way that feels manageable, with the goal of restoring a sense of empowerment and stability.
