I want to assist individuals, couples, and families, ages 5 to 99+, on their chosen paths to living a healthy, mentally stable lifestyle by creating a safe, compassionate, and caring environment where individuals are free to be themselves, where they are comfortable in their skins, where they can identify their strengths, identify their goals, and pursue those goals on their timeline. I also want to strive to help families define their normal and achieve that vision while developing positive self-esteem, healthy coping skills, and appropriate boundaries.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing, and then create a tailored plan you are comfortable with that will meet your goals in follow-up sessions.
Building rapport is one of my favorite ways to help my clients. I enjoy listening and connecting with my clients. I like to focus on your strengths. We all have areas of growth, and we will talk about those, but I also want to stay focused on what you excel at, and how those areas can assist you in achieving the balance you are searching for.
- women struggling with life, marriage, work, children, etc - children and adolescents - anyone struggling with anxiety, depression, grief
Although I have not sought the specialist certifications, I do use a lot of DBT techniques in my therapy practice. I have studied these techniques and attended workshops so that I feel comfortable using this treatment. I find that this treatment works best with depression, anxiety, as well as other mental health concerns.
I believe that the best therapy happens when the client drives the sessions and brings up their concerns. It is my belief that you are able to live the life you choose, and I want to be there to assist and remind you how capable you truly are!
I believe that all clients can benefit from play therapy. We have a common experience of being children, and we all know how to play, but sometimes we struggle with what that looks like.
