I am a first-gen Indian American therapist looking to build a meaningful connection with clients from which they grow. My goal is to broaden self-awareness, give you the tools to deal with future challenges and guide you in achieving wellness and a positive sense of self. I am licensed in CA and FL, and have been practicing for 8 years.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Within the first couple of sessions, I'll spend time getting to know you by asking about your: upbringing, past and current stressors/challenges, hobbies and interests, and more. While covering a lot of different topics, we'll concretely identify goals for therapy, all while building our rapport.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have great rapport with all of my clients; it's such a joy to connect with them in different ways. I believe I foster a healthy and appropriate balance of working through the tough stuff and leaving room for lighthearted topics-- life is filled with ebbs and flows, and we should acknowledge both.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My client caseload has naturally tended to be made up of individuals in their 20s and 30s navigating life transitions, pregnancy & postpartum, dating & relationship issues, family conflict or intergenerational trauma, and those looking to expand self-awareness and reduce anxious and depressive symptoms. I have a special interest in working with the South Asian community, as the stigma of mental health continues to prevent individuals from seeking help, or simply being aware of resources and help.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I integrate person-centered therapy to create a space where you feel truly heard and understood. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to support you in exploring your feelings, thoughts, and experiences. By focusing on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity, we work together to help you identify and shift the emotions, thoughts, and patterns that have been keeping you stuck. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about who you are, my goal is to help you expand your self-awareness, empower you with tools to navigate life's challenges, and guide you toward achieving a positive sense of self and lasting wellness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice helps you identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress and unproductive behaviors. Together, we work to reframe these thoughts, develop healthier patterns of thinking, and create more effective coping strategies. CBT is a goal-oriented, structured approach that empowers you to address immediate concerns and develop lasting tools to manage anxiety, depression, and other challenges. My goal is to help you build practical skills that will improve your emotional well-being and enhance your ability to cope with life's difficulties.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an approach that focuses on balancing acceptance with change. It helps you understand and manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and develop coping strategies for distressing situations. Through DBT, we work on building skills in four key areas: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. My goal is to help you find more balance in your life, learn how to cope with emotional pain in healthier ways, and strengthen your ability to navigate challenging situations while maintaining self-respect.
