I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 8 years of experience working with adults. I received my Masters degree from Fayetteville State University. I help adults navigate difficulties with personal and/or work stress and other concerns by using a variety of evidence based treatment approaches individually tailored to meet a client’s need. The goal is to ultimately help clients become the best version of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session you can expect introductions, discussing expectations of therapy and learning about the challenges you’re experiencing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think it’s important to meet a client where they are at to better understand their story and help clients set realistic goals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults that recognize the need for change, but may not have all of the tools to implement.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify negative thought patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, modify behaviors, learn coping skills, improve emotional regulation and build long term resilience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to assist clients with managing intense emotions and improving relationships by teaching emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process trauma, reduce distress, change negative beliefs, and build coping skills. This modality helps reduce trauma symptoms and promotes healing and emotional well-being.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use CPT to help clients with PTSD. CPT helps clients identify maladaptive thoughts, challenge negative beliefs, reframe trauma related thoughts, process emotions, improve functioning and reduce symptoms.
