Hello there! I'm Arzella a passionate mental health counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate the intricate landscape of their emotions and experiences. With 17 years of experience in the field, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and ADHD, and fostering self-development journeys. My journey in mental health care has equipped me with the skills and insights to assist you in overcoming the challenges that anxiety, depression, and ADHD can pose. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can collaboratively explore strategies to manage symptoms, develop coping mechanisms, and pave the way for positive change. I firmly believe that therapy is not just about addressing problems, but also about nurturing personal growth. Beyond alleviating symptoms, I'm dedicated to guiding you on a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. Together, we'll work on building resilience, enhancing self-esteem, and fostering a deeper understanding of your unique strengths.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We’ll start with a warm, non-judgmental conversation to help you feel comfortable. I’ll ask questions about your mental health history, life experiences, relationships, and current challenges to get a full picture of your concerns. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. If you’re unsure of your goals, that’s okay! We can explore and define them together over time. I’ll introduce the therapy methods we might use (such as mindfulness, CBT, DBT, or behavioral strategies) and how they can help. We’ll talk about session structure, confidentiality, and what you can expect moving forward. You’re welcome to ask about the therapy process, my approach, or any concerns you have. This is your space, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and informed. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer direction for your therapy journey. Whether you leave with an immediate coping strategy or just a sense of relief from being heard, this is the first step toward meaningful change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My belief is that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the process. You will be asked to discuss the hard times and difficulties you are facing. I think my strength is my ability to form that relationship while maintaining the balance and boundaries of the therapeutic alliance.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with motivated clients that are willing to experiment with new skills to learn ways to manage symptoms of trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression and teens and adults.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) serves as a foundation for my therapeutic interventions, emphasizing the interconnectedness between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through collaborative and goal-oriented sessions we will work together and identify and reframe negative thought patterns, develop and practice coping strategies, and cultivate healthier behaviors. By fostering self-awareness and empowering individuals to modify maladaptive cognitions, my aim is to facilitate lasting positive change and promote overall emotional well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

With 18 years as a therapist, I’ve integrated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice, particularly when working with clients struggling with emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, and difficulties in relationships. While DBT is widely known for its effectiveness with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), I have also found it incredibly useful for clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and even high-functioning professionals who need better emotional coping strategies
