Hey There! I’m Paula, a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps people navigate life’s ups and downs with more calm and confidence. I work with adults who want to improve communication, manage anxiety, build healthier relationships, and feel more grounded during life transitions. My style is warm, practical, and down-to-earth—I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation in search of solutions that will help you grow, .
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your goals, what’s been feeling hard lately, and what kind of support you’re looking for. You don’t have to have everything figured out—this is simply a space to start untangling things together. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful about the path ahead.
One of my greatest strengths is helping people recognize and build on what’s already working in their lives. Even in difficult situations, I look for the skills, choices, and moments of resilience that have carried them this far. I believe every person has strengths that can be redirected toward growth and healing. My role is to help clients notice those strengths, expand on them, and find new possibilities for moving forward — often in ways they didn’t realize were already within reach.
I’m best suited for adults who are ready to make meaningful changes but may feel stuck, anxious, or unsure where to start. My clients often want to communicate better, manage stress or relationship challenges, and feel more balanced in their daily lives. I especially enjoy working with people who are self-aware and motivated for personal growth, even if they’re feeling overwhelmed or burned out right now.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) helps you focus on your strengths and what’s working, rather than staying stuck in problems. Together, we’ll set clear goals and build small, meaningful steps toward the future you want.
Narrative Therapy is about exploring the stories you tell about your life and discovering new ways to see yourself. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths and create empowering stories that support the life you want to live.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you accept what’s out of your control, stay present, and make choices guided by your values—so you can live a fuller, more meaningful life.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy honors your unique background, values, and experiences. Together, we create a safe space where your culture and identity are respected and included in the healing process.
